Curtis T. McMullen

Curtis T. McMullen , a mathematician from the United States , was born on May 21, 1958, in Berkeley, California . He received his education at Harvard University , Williams College , and Champlain Valley Union High School . McMullen was awarded the Fields Medal in 1998 .

Among his doctoral students are Maryam Mirzakhani , Laura DeMarco , and Kenneth Bromberg . His doctoral advisor was Dennis Sullivan .
