Chris Rouland

Chris Rouland is an information security expert and founder, having founded Bastille, Endgame, and Phosphorus Cybersecurity Inc., each a company interested in providing solutions to cybersecurity and information security challenges. Chris Rouland holds 20+ patents, he earned his masters' degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and has made appearances at global security conferences including RSA, Black Hat, and HITB GSEC.

Before starting at Internet Security Systems, Inc., where he served as the Director and chief technology officer of the X-Force, Chris Rouland served as Vice President at Lehman Brothers from 1993 to 1998. In 1998, Chris Rouland started at Internet Security Systems, Inc., before Internet Security Systems was purchased by IBM in 2006. At IBM, Chris Rouland served as chief technology officer and "Distinguished Engineer" from 2006 to 2008.

In 2008, Chris Rouland founded and led Endgame with Daniel Ingevaldson, a solutions provider in cyber security and defense for the government sector. Endgame was acquired by Elastic N.V. in 2019, for 234 million, and at which point Chris Rouland left his role at Endgame.

Chris Rouland founded Bastille Networks Internet Security in 2013, which is focused on providing intrusion detection and vulnerability assessment for the Internet of Things (IoT). Chris Rouland served as Bastille's chief technology officer until he went on to found Phosphorus.

Phosphorus Cybersecurity Inc. was founded in 2017 by Chris Rouland, Earle Ady, and Rebecca Rouland. Chris Rouland took the role of chief executive officer at Phosphorus.

Chris Rouland has served as an advisor for OpticWise since 2016. And in 2017, he joined Waratek's board of directors and acted as an advisor for them as well. In March 2020, Chris Rouland was appointed to Dispersive Networks board of directors.
