Chino Corporation (株式会社チノー, Kabushiki-gaisha Chinō) is a Japanese manufacturer of measuring instruments and controllers. Working as a Japan Calibration Service System-certified supplier, it manufactures and supplies a wide range of electrical measuring equipment, controllers, and systems. Chino also manufactures and supplies calibration systems and conducts traceability tests, and has been certified by the National Institute of Technology and Evaluation as a calibration accreditation company.
In 1913, Kazuo Chino founded a private company named Chino Works in Shitaya. He started to manufacture and sell chemical machinery and rubber products, before manufacturing and selling physics and chemistry instruments, electric furnaces, thermostatic baths, and measuring instruments. In 1923, the factory was burnt down by fires caused by the Great Kanto earthquake. Chino built a new factory in Itabashi and business continued.
In 1936, Chino established a joint-stock company named Chino Works, Ltd. The company's factory was burnt down by an air raid during the Second World War, and later resumed business as a manufacturer of measuring instruments. The company's electronic recorders and oscillation-type indicating controllers were particularly popular at the start of Japan's economic boom.
In 1962, the company was listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, and in 1979, it was listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. The company was renamed to Chino Corporation in 1986 to commemorate its 50th anniversary as a stock company. By expanding its product range to infrared thermometers, thermal imaging systems, testing and controlling equipment, and fuel cell performance evaluation equipment, Chino had sales results comparable to many Japanese automakers and their domestic affiliates.
As of August 2020, Chino currently has 11 subsidiary companies, including six global branches in the United States, South Korea, China, India, and Thailand, five domestic affiliates, and agents in 14 other countries.

Chino primarily manufactures temperature sensors (including thermocouples, pyrometers, and infrared thermal imaging systems), moisture sensors, data recorders, temperature controllers, wireless data transmission modules, and evaluation systems for fuel cells and compressor calorimeters.
In 2014, the company's "Easy Thermo TP-S" thermal imaging camera won Good Design Award #14G070547 in the category "Equipment and facilities for manufacture, development or production".
