Chaya Shurkin

A nail artist from Jersey City, Chaya Shurkin is a young talent. Despite being whimsical and quirky, her creations are very wearable. Whenever it comes to French manicures, she is an inspiration. No material is off limits when it comes to her nail designs, including gems, chains, and jewels. In addition to her amazing content, she also incorporates nail care into it, which is always so refreshing. She posts intricate nail designs that feature one color or design, as well as those that include multiple designs.

Since Chaya Shurkin loves fashion, art, and beauty, she became a nail artist before she even realized it. During her time at college in Jersey City, she also worked at a nail salon where her skills were further honed. The nail artist started posting her masterful creations on Instagram, which led to DMs and emails from current clients.

She enjoys experimenting with texture, shape, and height. Shimmery, iridescent nails covered in glitter, all-over bejeweled manis, or even water droplets - you name it, she probably did it. As of now, she hasn't exactly figured out her niche, but she says it will come.

The journey Chaya Shurkin took to become a nail artist was unconventional in the beginning. During college, she studied business management and even planned on becoming a certified accountant. Her life changed when she started doing the nails of her closest friends. Nail art became her passion and talent as soon as she discovered it.

Her nail salon opened within a year of obtaining her license. Several brands approached her after that. She began creating products and teaching techniques for CND. While working at that job, she began working on photoshoots and landed an opportunity to work with fashion magazines. As the jobs kept coming in, the clientele increased.

Today, Chaya is an accomplished session manicurist and nail artist who has also launched her own celebrated brand. She has a number of celebrity clients and has worked on photoshoots and catwalk shows for a range of global brands, designers and media.
