Canvas Medical

Canvas Medical is a software company that offers a predictive charting interface designed and built for independent primary health care use. The startup received investments totaling over $3 million from healthcare technology leaders such as iSeed Ventures, Village Global, and Upfront Ventures.

Andrew Hines and Julian Malinak founded the company in San Fransisco, California, in August, 2015. They created the company with the goal of helping independent primary care providers. Canvas gives these care providers the ability to easily record meaningful data, keep track of patients with a higher need for care, and helps manage revenue.

This administrative software allows doctors and clinicians to focus more time with more patients by quickening tasks such as medical charting. The software is designed to be a document-style interface that uses a predictive autocomplete technology. The data is then incorporated within automations and population health insights before being housed in a medical record.
