Abstract

The objective of the project is to develop and implement a novel, conservative moving mesh technology within Cascade’s existing high-fidelity multi-physics simulation platform “Charles”. The resulting solvers and tools will then be applied to the prediction of flow and performance of the Ram Air Turbine (RAT) under development for the Next Generation Jammer-Mid Band (NGJ-MB) systems. The numerical tools developed throughout the project will be transitioned to the NAVAIR 4.4 Internal Flow modeling Team (NIF-T) to support the risk mitigation of the NGJMB design.
