Bharat (Barry) Lall, M.D. is en entrepreneur within the hospitality industry and president and CEO of Pinnacle Hotels USA. The company is primarily focusing on selling properties and currently maintains nine hotels in various locations in California, Ohio, and Texas.
Dr. Lall initially worked as a physician, practicing family medicine at Chula Vista, California’s Kaiser Hospital. in the late 1980s he began his career in hospitality industry entrepreneurship after securing a loan to purchase and refurbish the $450,000 Holiday Motel, located in Coronado near a US Navy base. During this time, he continued to see patients during the day.
In 1993, Dr. Lall formed a hotel firm with two friends and they began buying distressed properties across the western United States, many of which were facing foreclosure. Since that time, Lall has grown Pinnacle Hotels into a firm with more than 400 employees and yearly revenue of $40 million.
Lall and with his wife, Hema, executive vice president of Pinnacle Hotels USA, established the Lall Family Endowed Scholarship at the L. Robert Payne School of Hospitality and Tourism Management.
