SBIR/STTR Award attributes
In this Phase II.5 SBIR research effort, Azure Summit Technology, Inc. (Azure) will leverage substantial prior work and experience from the Phase II DREX work accomplished to date. This Phase II.5 effort entails providing additional enhancements to a small Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) software defined radio and radar receiver to create an important capability for a Sense and Avoid (SAA) radar system for multiple platforms, including Triton and Fire Scout. Azure is working closely with RDRTec, Raytheon and NAVAIR to enhance and integrate this DREX technology in conjunction with the overall Common Radar Autonomous Collision Avoidance System (RACAS). Additional DREX units will be built to support this effort.
