Aviv Zohar is an Assistant Professor at The School of Engineering and Computer Science at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the Chief Scientist of QED-it. He specializes in Blockchain, Cryptocurrencies, Multi-Agent Systems, Artificial Intelligence and Game Theory.
Aviv Zohar earned his Bachelor of Science in Physics and Computer Science in 2003, Master of Science in Computer Science in 2005 and PhD in Computer Science in 2010 at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
His research works focus on the Economics of Computational Systems and Protocols, Cryptocurrencies, Multi-Agent Systems, Game Theory, Mechanism Design and Networks.
He is the co-chair of The 5th Bitcoin Workshop, held in conjunction with Financial Cryptography and Data Security 2018.
