Angus King was born on March 31, 1944, in Alexandria, Virginia . He is a United States citizen and has had various occupations over the years, including politician , lawyer , businessperson , television presenter , business executive , celebrity , and entrepreneur .

King's education includes attending Dartmouth College and earning his law degree at the University of Virginia School of Law . He also attended Francis C. Hammond Middle School during his younger years.
