Andy Hughes

Andy joined Liverpool FC in 2013 as Chief Financial Officer and member of the Executive Team. Having been made Chief Operating Officer in June 2016 he was then promoted to Managing Director in August 2020. Andy is responsible for the strategic direction and management of the Club’s operations and finances. His portfolio includes overseeing all LFC operations and infrastructure, legal, club secretary, HR and finance functions. Andy also has over 20 years’ experience in the travel, tourism and hospitality sector.

He completed his Chartered Accountancy training with Ernst and Young in London prior to moving to the Cendant Corporation where he held a variety of senior finance and operational roles in the UK and US. Andy then joined Hilton Hotels leading the financial operations across Europe as Vice President Finance Europe. After four years, he became CFO of the Guoman and Thistle Hotel and Gaming group.
