Aleksandr Vasilevsky (30 September 1895 – 5 December 1977) was a politician, officer (armed forces), and a citizen of the Russian Empire and Soviet Union. Born in Vichuga, Russia, he was educated at the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia, Alekseev, and Kostroma Theological Seminary. Vasilevsky died in Moscow on 5 December 1977.

Vasilevsky received numerous awards for his service during his lifetime, which included: Hero of the Soviet Union, Order of Victory, Order of Lenin, Order of the Red Star, and Order of the Red Banner, among others. He was also awarded international honors such as the Virtuti Militari, Order of the White Lion, and Czechoslovak War Cross 1939–1945, as well as several commemorative medals.
