Our Sequential Phase II approach builds upon the foundation of what was achieved to date, primarily addressing the lower than desired QE, i.e. around 20% observed in the eSWIR band. The changes proposed are based on modifying the current design to an eSWIR absorber that includes p-type doping. While this may appear to be a relatively simplistic change in nature, its effects can be wide varying and affect other detector figures of merit that would warrant further detector optimization. Therefore, to adequately study and optimize the perturbation that p-doping introduces, we propose to perform a matrix of experiments that maps the growth and fabrication parameter space with the goal of leaving no stone unturned and fully understanding the empirical effects of parameter changes at the end of the program.
