Zimenki - a village located in the Kstovsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region. It is part of the Bezvodninsky Village Council. The village of Zimenki stands on a high hill above the Volga, a few kilometers from the city of Kstovo, on the road between the villages of Veliky Vrag and Bezvodnoye.

The foundation of the village of Zimenki dates back to the second half of the 16th century. After the elimination of the threats of unexpected invasions of Kazanians and Nogais into the Russian lands, the Nizhny Novgorod Volga region began to be especially actively settled by Russian people, intensively included in the orbit of economic and commercial and industrial life in the system of a single Russian centralized state. In 1588, in Zimenki there were 9 households of old beekeepers and 3 peasant families who settled in 1585 "on benefits", a total of 12 residential courtyards.

Near the village, the Zimenki radio astronomy station used to be located, designed for researching the Sun. The station is currently inactive and abandoned.
