Zen is a media content platform that is owned by Russian telecommunications and media company VK. It is described as a recommendation service that uses technology to create a scrolling feed of information that may interest the user. It is reported that the website has more than 60 million visitors every month and is one of the top ten most popular websites in Russia.

Zen is available for mobile or desktop view and can be downloaded as an app on Android or iOS devices. Users can create an account with an online ID from Zen's former parent company, Yandex, or from its current parent company, VK. Upon signing in, Zen can collect information from the user's search history to create a news and entertainment feed that is specialized to the interests of the users. The feed shows information such as news that is trending in the media, news from the capital, sports, economics, politics, global news, culture, and technology.

Zen also has a feature that only shows trending news articles. Additionally, there is a feature that shows trending videos, which can be up to fifteen minutes in length, and shorter videos for faster scrolling on the feed. Users can also subscribe to specific topics and organizations in which they are interested, so the information will be directed to their feed.
