Early Life and Education
Yale Martin Fishman was born and raised in the United States. He spent most of his childhood in New York City, where he developed a keen interest in law and politics. After completing high school, he attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 1979. Fishman excelled academically and was an active member of several student organizations.
Following his undergraduate degree, Fishman went on to study law at Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, California. He was an excellent student and was involved in various activities both within and outside of the law school. During his time at Southwestern, he was a member of the Law Review and was also a member of the moot court team.
Legal Career
After graduating from law school in 1982, Yale Martin Fishman began his legal career in 1983 as a Law Clerk for Honorable Dorothy W. Nelson, United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. This was a prestigious position that provided him with a strong foundation for his legal career. As a law clerk, Fishman worked on a variety of cases, including civil and criminal appeals, as well as habeas corpus petitions.
The following year, Fishman joined Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP as an Associate Attorney in their Los Angeles office. At Morgan Lewis, Fishman worked on a wide range of complex commercial litigation and bankruptcy cases. He quickly made a name for himself in the firm and was known for his exceptional legal skills and work ethic.
In 1985, Yale M Fishman became eligible to practice law in New York, and he subsequently joined the New York City law firm of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP. As a member of Fried Frank's litigation department, he handled a broad range of litigation matters including securities, commercial, and antitrust disputes. Fishman continued to hone his legal skills and gained a reputation as a skilled litigator.
In 1994, Yale Martin Fishman left Fried Frank to join Dentsu, Inc., one of Japan's largest advertising agencies, where he served as the General Counsel of Dentsu America, Inc. and the Director of Legal Affairs of Dentsu Holdings USA, Inc. At Dentsu, Fishman handled a wide range of legal matters, including advertising, intellectual property, employment, and general corporate matters. He was responsible for managing the legal affairs of the company's operations in the United States and was a key member of the senior management team.
In 2002, Fishman left Dentsu to start his own law practice, Yale Fishman Attorney at Law. In his new role, he advised a wide range of clients, including startups, established companies, and individuals on various legal matters. He also served as General Counsel to several of his clients.

Yale Martin Fishman is an AV rated attorney, which is the highest peer review rating given by Martindale-Hubbell, a prominent legal directory. This rating indicates that his peers consider him to have the highest level of professional ethics and legal ability. He is also a member of several legal organizations, including the New York State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
Fishman is highly respected in the legal community and has been recognized for his legal expertise by various organizations. He has been named a "Super Lawyer" by Super Lawyers Magazine for several consecutive years, and he has also been recognized as a "Legal Elite" by Business North Carolina Magazine.
In addition to his legal career, Fishman is actively involved in several charitable organizations. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Central Park Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that manages Central Park in New York City.
