Wayru is a network of networks. A decentralized Internet service provider, focused on closing the digital gap once and for all. Our solution brings mid-small ISPs, entrepreneurs and communities together to build and operate Internet networks for the people.
The network will have 4 layers:
Infrastructure built by Wayru sponsored by the people.
Decentralized Wi-Fi network via people owned Hotspots.
Federation of ISPs.
Community owned networks via ISP in a box solution.
The 4 layers are interconnected for quality assurance and ubiquitous connectivity for all.
We design, build or acquire networks with fiber, radio and wireless mesh technologies. The grid is divided in spaces or pieces called AirBlocks. To ensure its uniqueness AirBlocks are built as an NFT on the Algorand’s Blockchain. By purchasing and AirBlock, you help Wayru expand the network converge to connect more people to the Internet in emerging countries.
A core element of the Wayru’s network is distributed ownership. We believe that ownership of the Internet should be in the hands of as many people as possible. If the cost of broadband tech drops, then more people can help pay for the cost of the network.
Anyone can buy an AirBlock and get rewards for up to 5 years by staying their AirBlock for governance and directly participate in the decisions about the future of the network of networks.
Wayru is attempting to deliver low cost internet access using novel and disruptive technologies in a low margin, high volume emerging market. Wayru promises to execute its duties on a best effort basis, however, in any competitive technology business, there exists a risk of failure. In the event of a cease of operations or shutdown, Wayru may not be able to provide or guarantee liquidity for any outstanding amount.
