Born on June 5, 1952 in the village of Novomarkovka, Kantemirovskiy district.
He began his career in the Kantemirovskiy district in 1974 after graduating from the Voronezh Agricultural Institute named after V.I. K. D. Glinka, where he received the specialty "mechanization of agriculture." From 1974 to 1975 he served in the Soviet Army. From 1975 to 1980, he worked first as an engineer for the operation of the MTP of the Druzhba collective farm, then as a chief engineer. From 1980 to 1981, he held the position of chief engineer of the agricultural department of the Kantemirovsky district executive committee. In 1981, he was elected chairman of the Pravda collective farm in the Kantemirovsky district and worked in this position until 2006, then he worked as director of the Novomarkovskoye agricultural enterprise.
