Vivendi owns the French TV channel and film producer Groupe Canal+, as well as the global music leader Universal Music Group, book publisher Editis, communications company Havas, video game company Gameloft (over which Vivendi gained control on May 27, 2016, and immediately after the purchase, Gameloft founder, Michel Guimo, left the company as head.) and video hosting Dailymotion.

Turnover in 2008 was €25.39 billion (up 17.2%), net income was €2.6 billion (down 0.8%).
