The US Air Force and US Army both employ an array of sensors on the modern battlefield, which will only continue to grow in the future. This increase in data collected has expanded the need for visual analysis to support the warfighter in efficiently and effectively executing a mission. Today, these tasks and subsequent decision-making efforts are largely conducted manually, relying solely on the human operator during battlefield conditions. To improve human-machine teaming and lighten the warfighter’s cognitive burden, the introduction of Computer Vision (CV) coupled with the capabilities of an underlying Knowledge Graph (KG) can serve as a tactical AI decision support agent in theater. Such systems will improve the level of intelligence gathered and provide decision makers with better information faster to stay ahead of our adversaries. By leveraging visual search technologies combined with KG’s, the US Air Force and US Army can enable the warfighter to take more informed actions during active operations, enabling rapid decision making, and maintaining constant situational awareness
