Ulf Merbold

Ulf Merbold, born on June 20, 1941, is an astronaut and physicist from Germany. He was born in Greiz. Initially, Merbold held citizenship of East Germany, and later held German citizenship. He completed his education from the University of Stuttgart.

During his career, Ulf Merbold received several awards and honors, including the Order of Parasat , Der Verdienstorden der Bundesrepublik Deutschland , Order of Friendship , and Medal "For Merit in Space Exploration." He is the child of Herbert Merbold.
