In another aspect, an apparatus includes electronic hardware circuitry configured to monitor a replication process, predict performance based on the monitoring, receive a suspend notification and determine whether to suspend the replication process or wait to suspend the replication process based on the performance predicted. In a further aspect, an apparatus includes electronic hardware circuitry configured to: monitor a replication process, predict performance based on the monitoring, receive a suspend notification and determine whether to suspend the replication process or wait to suspend the replication process based on the performance predicted.
