In order to omit reset pulses, which cause a temporary blanking of the display device, the electrophoretic medium of the display device comprises two groups of electrophoretic particles, one group of positively charged electrophoretic particles (14) and one group of negatively charged particles (14′) and the color of the electrophoretic particles of the first group is equal to the color of the electrophoretic particles of the second group.
