The fan wheel is connected to the driving shaft of the transmission for conjoint rotation, and the hood is attached to a, e.g., multi-piece retaining frame fastened to the housing of the transmission. The guard is formed of two guard parts, and the first parting line thereof is a straight segment or formed of two straight segments in alignment with each other. The hood is formed from two hood parts, and the second parting line thereof is a flat curve including straight line segments.
