The encapsulated stick-on window light includes at least one light emitting device configured to emit light; and an encapsulating body, the encapsulating body surrounding the at least one light emitting device such that the at least one light emitting device is totally enclosed within the encapsulating body, the encapsulating body having at least one surface that is configured to adhere to a glass surface by means of electrostatic forces and/or Van der Waals forces.
