An example method for initiating vehicle remote parking includes presenting, via a touchscreen of a mobile device, a first motion track that is predefined by a user and continuous. The example method also includes detecting a travel point of the user on the touchscreen and initiating forward motion during remote parking of a vehicle in response to determining, via a processor, the travel point is moving in a clockwise direction within the first motion track.
