Tikhon Bernstam is an American businessman, founder, and angel investor, living in the San Francisco Bay area. He attended Dartmouth College, and participated in Y Combinator's accelerator program twice, once in 2006 and again in 2011.
After completing the Y Combinator program in 2006, Bernstam founded Scribd, an online reading subscription service, where users may read or listen to books, magazines, podcasts, sheet music, and other published materials. Scribd has over 80 million active users.
In 2011, Bernstam again attended a Y Combinator program and co-founded Parse with Kevin Lacker, James Yu, and Ilya Sukhar; as a part of the Y Combinator S11 Batch. Parse is a cloud-based software developer providing kits for building desktop, mobile, and embedded device applications. In 2013 Facebook acquired Parse for $85M.
