Since 2013, Talent Inc. has been the parent company of numerous resume and career service brands in the United States and the United Kingdom. These include TopResume and TopCV.
Talent Inc. was originally founded under the corporate umbrella of Universum Global, an employee branding firm. Universum Global is based in Stockholm, Sweden, with Talent Inc. operating as its subsidiary. In 2013, the ownership rights Talent Inc. were sold and it became a standalone company. Shortly after the sale, Talent Inc. relocated to New York City.
Jeff Berger and Patrick Butler became the co-founders of the newly formed Talent Inc. and its subsidiaries that were included in the deal. Doostang was one of the companies that was included in the deal. It had previously been founded in 2005 and received Series A funding of $5.75 million in 2010. It was then acquired by Universum and Berger was made CEO.
Shortly after the formation of Talent Inc. its subsidiary TopResume was launched. In 2014, Talent Inc. announced the acquisition of RezBiz, a provider of resume writing. The RezBiz brand was then merged into the TopResume brand, a subsidiary of Talent Inc.. Other acquisitions have included Career Perfect and also TopCV.
