Sunil S. Rawat is the co-founder and CEO of Omniscience, an artificial intelligence and machine learning company providing automated underwriting and risk intelligence for the insurance industry.
Rawat attended Sherwood College from 1985 to 1994, where he earned his Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE). The ICSE is a certificate of general education through medium English.
At Ruparel College, Rawat obtained an HSC degree in science and electrical maintenance. While at the institution between 1992 and 1994, Rawat participated in the intercollegiate debate team.
After graduating from D.G. Ruparel College, Rawat went on to the D.J. Sanghvi College of Engineering at the University of Mumbai, where he obtained a BE in electronic engineering between 1994 and 1998. While at the university, Rawat participated in student government, debate, and emcee.
After graduating from the University of Mumbai, Rawat went on to work for Patni Computer Systems for a year and then founded his first company, AirXpress, where he served as CTO for eleven months.
After founding AirXpress, Rawat left to work as a web database consultant at Hewlett-Packard; he remained in this position from 2000 to 2002. In March of 2002, he took a new position at the company as the Java and Windows platform lead. After two years, he was promoted again to the e-business infrastructure architect and capacity planning manager. In this role, he co-managed performance and availability analytics teams in France, China, and India. In 2007, Rawat was promoted to his final position at Hewlett-Packard, and he became the HP.com operations manager. Rawat remained in this position for just short of four years before leaving the company.
While at Hewlett-Packard, Rawat took on an additional position with Crescendant as the chief technology officer (CTO). He held this position for the duration of eleven years, leaving in March of 2013 for a senior consulting architect position at Wipro, where he stayed for a year before founding his current company, Omniscience.
Omniscience was founded in 2014 by Rawat and Munu Shukla. Rawat has served as the company's CEO since its inception. Omniscience is a company using artificial intelligence and machine learning to provide automation and risk intelligence to the underwriting process in the insurance industry.
