Strategic Robotic Systems (SRS), Inc. is a Redmond, Washington-based developer of underwater systems and technology. Founded in 2015, the company is best known designing and manufacturing the SRS FUSION, an unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) used by the US Coast Guard. SRS's executive team is led by Jesse Rodocker, who serves as president and CEO, and Tracey Rodocker, who serves as executive officer and commercial manager.
The SRS FUSION differs from other unmanned underwater vehicles in that it is built around a suite of high-end sensors, as opposed to a traditional flexible platform approach. The FUSION uses a variety of different sensors:
- Imaging Sensors—Forward looking ultibeam sonar and HD video
- Navigation Sensors—DVL, AHRS, GNSS, Pressure and Temperature
- Communications—Gigabit LAN
In addition to the included sensors, the FUSION also offers some optional sensors that can be used with the FUSION system through auxiliary ports, picatinny rails, or the craft's utility cavity. Optional sensors include a side scan sonar, Ultra Short Baseline Positioning System (USBL), and Magnetometer.
The FUSION is controlled by a Human Machine Interface (HMI) and is designed to be launched from incredibly small platforms. The craft was designed to help users plan and execute AUV missions, missing person locating, and ROV operations, among other things.
