Abstract

The objective is to develop and test a functional prototype of a 3D Dome radar with full hemispherical coverage (0-90 degrees vertical and 360 degree horizontal). This prototype shall have an update rate of 1 Hz, a tracking range of 2 km that weighs less than 12 kg and an estimated cost of close to $150,000. SpotterRF shall test the 3D radar to determine its tracking range against a DJI Phantom 4 over a range of altitudes and speeds and deliver a test report that compares the radar measurement data to the GPS location data from the DJI Phantom.
