Santander Bank

Santander Bank is a Boston-based company founded in 1902 in Wiomissing, Pennsylvania. The bank is active in nine states and was formerly known as Sovereign Bank. Santander Bank is a full-service provider of financial products and services including commercial banking, consumer and business banking, corporate and investment banking, and real estate and vehicle finance. Santander Bank has nearly 575 branches, over 9,000 employees, and over two million customers.

Timothy H. Wennes is the Santander US chief executive officer and country head. Wennes became president and CEO in September of 2019 after over thirty years in banking. Wennes earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Southern California and earned his MBA in international business from California State University Fullerton.

Santander also invests in communities and higher education. In 2017, they created a five-year $11 billion Inclusive Communities Plan. The company has over $55 million in charitable contributions and 60,000 volunteer community development hours.
