Abstract

This project will explore novel methods of manufacture and materials leading to improved manufacturing, reduced cost, and increased structural efficiency of propeller blades for electric vertical take-off and landing (EVTOL) type aircraft. Specifically this project will explore improvements in three phases with increasing risk and reward. The baseline method of manufacture and materials used for propeller blades today include traditional tooling strategies and pre-preg materials.
