SCP Worldwide is a private equity investment company. It was founded in September 2001 by businessman Dave Checketts. The company makes investments in entertainment ventures, media productions, real estate, and sports teams. The company has also owned and operates entertainment and event venues such as the Scottstrade Center and Kiel Opera House in St. Louis, Missouri, as well as the Rio Tinto Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah. The company formerly owned the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League and the Major League Soccer team Real Salt Lake.
The company held the media distribution rights for the South American World Cup Qualifiers for the 2010 World Cup.
