Limit to 3000 characters with no classified or proprietary information We propose to verify implementation of a novel method of turbulence measurements that is based on the Doppler shift of nonresonantly excited emission from the air components predicted by our recently created theory. The proposed development project will result in the method and apparatus based on a laser pining using ultrashort pule that will provide real-time measurement of the air velocity with accuracy better than 1m/s, range resolution of 0.003m, range accuracy of 0.3m, temporal resolution of 10ps, temporal accuracy of 1ns, within the measurement range from 10m to 10km. Based on our recent theoretical work, we are confident that we will produce successful demonstration of this concept via the verification tests.
