Rx Bandz’ innovative MiniJect® auto-injector can be adapted to deliver epinephrine to thousands of Active Duty and beneficiaries prone to allergic reactions (anaphylaxis) as well as medics treating shock or respiratory distress. Currently, there is no comparable miniaturized Air Force or DoD solution/technology available. Modifications will be made for the Air Force specific requirement and to meet 810H Military Standards. Rx Bandz has validated proof of concept for the MiniJect® device as the world’s smallest auto-injector but must conduct Human Factors tests that capture AF requirements, labeling and user operations for FDA approval. Development and adaptations of the product will be verified and tested to meet the altering requirements provided by the AF customer. The tests will be performed using Rx Bandz MiniJect® auto-injector, designed for the civilian market. Human Factors are a critical step in commercialization for both military and civilian markets and required by the FDA.
