ABOUT ME

I'm a native of the Pacific Northwest. The beauty of our coast, mountains and forests is absolutely breath-taking and it was on my long hikes in the Olympic Peninsula that I discovered my passion for photography.

My first love is philosophy and mathematics, which to me are essentially the same thing. Long ago I began to write and go into the rainforests to think and clear my mind.

I'm interested in the intersection of art, philosophy, mathematics and technology.

Although I took more computer science classes than anything else, I ended up getting a degree in mathematics from Duke University. Math is the foundation of everything, it's the most important thing any person can study.

I am the founder of GameFi startup Element 115, makers of the game Moonray (moonraygame.com)

Black & White nature photography is the way I balance my impulse to do wild, colorful, surreal realtime visuals. This type of photography is almost the polar opposite, it is still, quiet and monochrome.

I live and work in Olympia, WA with my wife and children.
