Abstract

Roccor has an exclusive supply agreement with Solid Power of Louisville to procure Advanced Solid-State Battery (ASSB) cells with 400Wh/kg energy density, 150-200% lighter than current Lithium-ion space technology. Cells sizes are ideal for modular battery designs to meet future Air Force small satellite demands from cubesat to ESPA-Grande class spacecraft. Roccor’s team is led by personnel with a track record qualifying and delivering space batteries leveraging commercial Lithium-ion cell suppliers and allows the Air Force to leverage more than $25M in commercial investment to develop both the cell product and commission a US Domestic pilot production facility.
