Robin Gibb, born Robin Hugh Gibb on December 22, 1949, was a British musician, composer, singer-songwriter, and record producer. He was born in Douglas, Isle of Man and held United Kingdom citizenship. Gibb was known for his work in various music genres, including new wave, pop, rock, soul, and disco.
Robin Gibb was the father of Spencer Gibb and the son of Hugh Gibb. He had several relatives who were also musicians, including brothers Barry Gibb, Maurice Gibb, and Andy Gibb, as well as nephew Steve Gibb.
Robin Gibb passed away on May 20, 2012, in London.
