Roald Dahl

Roald Dahl (1916-1990) was a British novelist, screenwriter, poet, and author, best known for his works in children's literature and fantasy genres. He was born in Llandaff, Wales, and held citizenship in both the United Kingdom and Wales. Dahl was educated at The Cathedral School, Llandaff, and Repton School.

In addition to writing, Dahl's other occupations included being an aircraft pilot, fighter pilot, and screenwriter. He passed away in Oxford, England in 1990.

Dahl was the father of Tessa, Ophelia, and Lucy Dahl. Some of his notable works include "Danny, the Champion of the World," "James and the Giant Peach," "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," and "The BFG". He also authored several collections of short stories, such as "Kiss Kiss," "Switch Bitch," and "Tales of the Unexpected".
