Richard Curtis (born 8 November 1956) is a New Zealand film director, film producer, television producer, writer, screenwriter, and comedian. He was born in Wellington, New Zealand. Curtis is also the founder of Comic Relief, a British charity organization.
Curtis attended Papplewick School, Harrow School, and later studied at Christ Church, Oxford. His birth name is Richard Whalley Anthony Curtis. He has a child named Charlie Curtis.
Richard Curtis has directed various well-known films, including Love Actually, The Boat That Rocked, and About Time (2013 film). Moreover, he has received awards, such as British Academy Film Awards.
