The Institute has made a decisive contribution to the creation of accelerator complexes from cyclotrons and high-voltage accelerators to the largest world-class facilities in Kharkov, Dubna, Serpukhov, and Gatchina. Together with other institutes, a number of advanced technologies have been created using accelerators and lasers.
