Radio Innovation Sweden AB is a Swedish telecom company that develops, manufactures and sells a high gain antenna for mobile communication in rural areas. The company was founded in 2017 by lead investor Ulf Ekenman, who also serves Radio Innovation's board. Dusyant Patel has served as Radio Innovation's CEO since 2019.
Radio Innovation makes high gain, narrow-sectored antennas developed on the company's SuperCell technology. The antennas are designed to supercharge networks and provide internet access to remote areas, such as rural villages and locations in the countryside. Radio Innovation's antennas operate at low-cost on patent pending solar and wind power technology. Additionally, the antennas are able to transmit at 360 degrees using 18 sectors, compared to traditional 120 degree and three sector antennas. Radio Innovation's antennas are able to multiply the range of service 10-125 times and cover an area of 1600 square kilometers (618 square miles).
Radio Innovation has raised one funding round, a $3.5 million seed round that closed on September 6, 2021. The company had a pre-money valuation of $35 million.
