A SBIR Phase II contract was awarded to Radiation Monitoring Devices, Inc. in March, 2019 for $984,614.0 USD from the U.S. Department of Defense and Missile Defense Agency.
The benefit to DOD is the ability to increase the performance capabilities of missile interceptors. The primary market for the proposed technology is for missile EO/IR windows and domes for seekers and interceptors for DOD prime contractors, which we estimate be more than $21,000,000. Other potential markets are body armor, windows for high power lasers, rugged widows for LIDAR for automobiles and autonomous vehicles, and erosion resistant windows.
