RELIACOAT TECHNOLOGIES LLC SBIR Phase II Award, April 2022

ReliaCoat Technologies’ (RCT) current Phase II program from AFWERX Rapid Sustainment Office proposed a holistic solution via implementing thermal spray digital thread platform that is the TS industry’s first true digital thread platform to increase manufacturing productivity, efficacy in process parametric development, sustainability of USAF fleet assets, and cost-effectivity in manufacturing and quality control procedures. With the success of the current Phase II program, RCT’s integrated, adaptive, knowledge management digital thread software platform provides a real time interactive display of the various sub-processes through process parameter inputs and diagnostic sensor information in coating manufacturing. The system integrates recently developed and demonstrated autonomous manufacturing sensor technology together with established knowledge of process-performance interplay in a unified software platform providing opportunity for data analytics and learning. The ultimate goal of the digital thread platform is to achieve adaptive, populating historical data and ongoing activities with future predictive capabilities allowing customized visualization for operator, engineer, manager.
