Plasso, founded in 2014, makes software that helps a company create a subscription-based business online. The software platform allows businesses or solo entrepreneurs to make recurring revenue without having to build out a subscription-model e-commerce website from scratch. Their integration allows users to manage payments, customers and user authentication. Users can also send invoices for services and products and collect donations.
Plasso raised their Seed round funding on September 14, 2016. They raised $1.2 million from Angellist, who lead the investment, Hiten Shah, Haroon Mokhtarzada, Geoff Teehan, Jude Gomila, Daniel Scrivner, Adii Pienaar, and E-Merge.
On September 24, 2018, GoDaddy acquired Plasso for an undisclosed sum. Company founder Drew Wilson announced that both Plasso's technology platform and their team were joining GoDaddy. The acquisition of Plasso involved winding the company down and with GoDaddy offering Plasso's services through their GoCentral website builder.
