A SBIR Phase I contract was awarded to Physical Sciences in January, 2020 for $99,995.0 USD from the U.S. Department of Defense and Missile Defense Agency.
Physical Sciences Inc. (PSI) proposes to develop a high performance biocarbon material for supercapacitor applications using an environmentally friendly process and reagents. Program goal is to provide biocarbon materials with a small carbon footprint and low production cost. Improved performance will be achieved by engineering the porosity, surface area, and conductivity of the biocarbon material at the molecular level.
