Peter Hyman is the Co-Director of the Big Education Trust and was School 21’s first ever Headteacher when it was founded in 2012. Peter is passionate about finding new ways of preparing young people for the fast-paced world they will be entering. He was formerly a deputy head at a secondary school in Southall in West London. Prior to that he was a political strategist to the Prime Minister. He left 10 Downing Street to become a teaching assistant, then trained as a history teacher before working to become a headteacher. He is author of 1 out of 10, From Downing Street Vision to classroom reality and has written regularly for national newspapers
