In Phase II of BAARS, the PI2 team will:Develop a final design specification for the Phase II BAARS prototype. System must be capable of use to aid vision in night, day, and all-weather operations. Develop a test plan.Fabricate a prototype BAARS HMD and perform preliminary testing and characterization of the mechanical, optical, and electronic components and full HMD as an integrated assembly.Develop the BAARS firmware and software and fully evaluate the prototype BAARS HMD as a system in a laboratory environment. Demonstrate the BAARS HMD and deliver it for evaluation by Battlefield Airmen in an all-weather environment with sufficient ruggedization consistent with a prototype unit for dismounted warfighter operations.Update the BAARS roadmap to mature the technology and create product variants for different use cases. Throughout Phase II, PI2 will execute the Work Plan towards the successful achievement of these Objectives, and will also continuously continue working with our expanding partner network to find commercial and military applications to transition the IP developed in this program into viable markets and improved low-latency imaging applications.
