Orbis86

Orbis86 is a California-based company that creates characters in the metaverse. It has a collection of 8686 3D humanoid characters that are NFTs. The characters are intended to be used to tell stories and can be customized for a wide range of races, genders, ethnicities, and more. The company states it is built on a foundation of diversity and its stated goal is to give a voice to minorities and sections of society that have traditionally been underserved. The company was founded in 2021 and is woman-led, with CEO and founder Soniya Ahuja.

A user can purchase an Orbison by installing the MetaMask extension on their Chrome browser and connecting their wallet. They then purchase enough Ethereum tokens to buy NFTs on the Orbis platform, and once this is confirmed, they can mint and view their Orbison on OpenSea.

Once users have connected their wallets, they can access animation kits that are used to customize their Orbison using open-source software called Blender. Orbis86 states that it plans to have web series for each NFT and the revenue from those series will be distributed among token holders.Orbis86 has announced their pre-minting sales to be in June 2022.
